Padangbai and Blue Lagoon

The hidden and secluded Blue Lagoon Beach is rated one of the top 5 best hidden beaches in Bali. There are a few other private beaches in the area of Pagandai which you can check out while there. The calming beach is backed by lush, green, hills that are covered in large trees. The beach area has lots of shaded spots, as well as plenty of room to relax in the sunshine. You will be able to find refreshments and traditional snacks from the food stalls on the beach if you get hungry or thirsty. The water is great for swimming, and snorkeling. A few meters from the shore you will find coral. If you want to scuba dive, there are tour boats which will take you further out in the water. Scuba diving at the Blue Lagoon will give you the opportunity to swim with stonefish, refs shark, blue ribbon eels, sting rays, squid, octopus and more. There is no shortage of marine life in Bali, so come prepared with an underwater camera to capture the amazing seascapes.

Padang Padang

The hidden Padang Padang beach in Bali is secluded and ideal for beach goers, surfers and a place to go unwind. The beach is also one of the top surf destinations in Bali. In 2010 the movie Eat Pray Love, was released, featuring Padang Padang, which gave more exposure to the hidden beach. There is lots to do at the beach including, wind surfing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, boat tours, fishing and of course, food shacks and cafes. We recommend the 360 restaurant which overlooks the water, and has a fantastic menu, with several international items. Every Saturday night the beach light up and the party starts. Visitors gather around, music is played and people dance, play games, have drinks and mingle until the sun comes up.

Atuh Beach

Walking along the rocky cliffside that runs behind the beach will give you a nice view of the rock formations in the water and the large archway made of stone. The beach is best to visit during low tide as it is not a large beach to begin with. Once the tide is out, there are tide pools you can swim in, and the sand is nice for lounging on. You can find venders selling refreshments out of coolers on the beach as well as snacks. Getting to the beach takes some time, approximately 2 hours by motor bike, so it is best to plan the time of day you will head out, before hand. Getting down to the beach can be difficult for some, as you will have to go down a steep flight of stairs.

Green Bowl Beach

To enter Green Bowl Beach it is a bit of a hike. You will head down a 75 meter stair case, built under a cliff, which will ascend down to the small, private beach. The beach has lots of shade for beach goers. When the tide is low the water is great for snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. There is a coral reef, with plenty of tropical fish a few minutes paddle from the beach as well. Visit the cliff side Temple at Green Bowl Beach for the ultimate view of the coastline.

Pasir Putih

Pasir Putih is known for privacy, white sand and swaying palm trees. Other names the beach goes by are Hidden Beach, Virgin Beach and White Sand Beach. The sandy beach stretches between the two villages of Bugbug and Perasi. Visit the Pura Bale temple, go for a scenic nature walk lounge out in one of the comfortable sun beds on the beach for a nice afternoon. There are restaurants and bars right on the beach, or in the village, serving fresh seafood and cold drinks.
