The Austrian Ski Resort of Stuben is known as the birthplace of the Arlberg’s most famous son, Hannes Schneider, who contributed greatly to the Arlberg’s reputation as the “Cradle of Alpine skiing”.

The village owns its name to the word: “Stube” which means living room in German, due to the fact that Stuben was established to be the last place where travelers could seek shelter in a heated “Stube” before heading up and over the Arlberg Pass.

It has almost 100 residents all year round, a fact that contributes to maintain its village character with its typical traditional Austrian sense of warmth. Enjoy to the Austrian alpine hospitality to the maximum, the tranquility of the place and the picturesque scenery.

With access to 340km of downhill skiing, 248 individual pistes served by 97 ski lifts, as high as 2,600m, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season especially for intermediate skiers.

Use the appropriate ski Lift Pass that will allow you to pass in the other Arlberg ski resorts of Lech, St. Anton am Arlberg, St Christoph am Arlberg and Zürs and will offer you fast access to other famous ski areas through the prized and swift connections of the efficient lift system that Stuben has.

During summer months, guests will have a range of activities to do such as mountain bike, climbing, golf, or even Stuben hiking tours, climbing tours and adventure camps for children.
