Seven Mile Beach, Jamaica
Located in Negril, Jamaica, the seven mile beach is lined with high class resorts, restaurants and bars. There is always something going on at this beach from live entertainment, parties and plenty of bars. The beach has sectioned areas for those who want to ditch their swim suits and go nude. The warm aqua clear water is inviting for those who want to swim, snorkel, or to take out a boat for a tour. The beach has many palm trees providing shaded areas for people to sit. Pink Sands Beach, Bahamas
Harbour island, the home of pink sand, has a 3 mile beach running down the island. The beach is anywhere between 50 to 100 feet wide through out the 3 miles. The sands are a rosy pink color which add to the relaxing atmosphere. Horse back riding is common along this wonderful sandy beach and there will be many photo opportunities near the clear waters, shaded areas or in the sunshine.
Pig Beach, Bahamas
The famous Exuma beach is known for the shallow waters which have a population of friendly pigs swimming in them. Visitors can go swim with the pigs and enjoy the beach, but other than that, there is not much to do. There are about 20 pigs which current the beach area and rely on visitors and locals to feed them. No one knows exactly how the pigs came to live on the island but there are a few tales out there on how pig beach came to be.
Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman
Not to be confused with the beach in Jamaica, this beach in Grand Cayman is known for the bright blue water of the sea and the golden sandy beaches. This beach is considered on of the top beaches in the Caribbean because there are so many activities or things to do, that people often come back. Here you will find travellers having fun out on the water with jet ski’s, wake boards, paddle boards, kayaks and snorkelling. Under the trees in the shaded area’s you can take a break and get a massage or even pop next door for a round of golf.
Maho Beach, St Maarten
Maho beach is situated right under the flight path that leads to the St. Maarten airport. Maho beach will be on any list of the top beaches in the Caribbean because of the unique opportunity to swim in the gorgeous waters, or lay on the perfect sand all day while huge aircrafts fly as low as 100 feet over the beach all day long. There is no shortage of bars are resultants for plane viewers to hang out in, all along the beach. The beach itself is a small stretch of sand with resorts on either side.
Frenchman’s Cove, Jamaica
Hollywood chose Frenchman’s cove to film a scene from the Tom Cruise movie “Knight and Day” and it was also a long time vacation spot for the famous Elizabeth Taylor. There is lots of shade in the cove and it can’t get much more private than this. The beach has chairs you can rent for the day as well as places to order a delicious cocktail while you enjoy the surf.
